Douglas Ross Lanning

He was born on October 4, 1941 in Steuben County, Indiana to the late Donald and Marguerite (Sherer) Lanning.

Doug graduated from Bronson High School. Following graduation he joined the US Army, serving his Country with pride.

Doug married Linda Tucker on May 12, 1962 at the Orland Congregational Church, Orland, Indiana.

He retired from Moore Business Forms in Angola, Indiana. He ran a printing press for eleven years and later worked his way into an office position prior to his retirement.

Doug enjoyed fishing, watching Indiana University Basketball, and collecting coins.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Lanning of Jimmerson Lake, Angola, Indiana, three sons, Michael Lanning, Angola, Indiana, Mark Lanning and James Lanning, both of Fremont, Indiana, two grand-daughters, Tabitha and Caitlin Lanning, brothers, Donald Lanning, Jr. of Port Richey, Florida and David Lanning of Bronson, Michigan three sisters, Diane Dudley of Orland, Indiana, Deborah McClanahan of Millersburg, Michigan and Denise Boyer of Orland, Indiana, and many nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by a brothers, Daniel Lanning and Dennis Lanning.

Visitation will be held from 1 pm until 3 pm Saturday, December 27, 2025 at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, Indiana.

Military Honors will follow visitation at 3 pm Saturday, December 27, 2025 at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, Indiana.
