Duane Eugene Cox, Jr., age 39, of Angola, Indiana, passed away on Friday, April 27, 2018 in Angola, Indiana. Duane was born on September 17, 1978, in Bryan, Ohio. He attended Fremont High School, and lived his entire life in the Fremont, Indiana, and Bryan, Ohio area. He formerly worked for American Dock and Lift, Fremont, Indiana. He married Kristin Dawn Roberts on February 28, 2002. Survivors include his wife, Kristin Cox of Angola, Indiana, a son, Dion Cox of Angola, Indiana, a daughter, Maryah Cox of Angola, Indiana, his mother, Carla (Mike) Armey of Edon, Ohio, his father, Duane Eugene Cox of Pioneer, Ohio, sisters, Erica Cox of Pioneer, Ohio, Hayley Steusloff of Bryan, Ohio, and Rachel Cox of Montpelier, Ohio, mother-in-law, Deb Ruby of Hudson, Indiana, father-in-law, Stanley Roberts of Coldwater, Michigan, sisters-in-law, Tammy (Jim) Fugate of Fremont, Indiana, Patty (Blake) Roberts of Angola, Indiana, and Tiffani (Corey) Parr of Butler, Indiana, brothers-in-law, Scott Roberts of Hudson, Indiana, and Tony (Shani) Ruby of Hudson, Indiana, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Orville & Arlis Cox, maternal grandmother, Barb Firestone, and father-in-law, Don Ruby. Visitation will be held from 2 pm until 5 pm Thursday, May 3, 2018 at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, Indiana. A Celebration of his life will follow immediately after the visitation Thursday at the Fremont American Legion, Fremont, Indiana. Memorial donations in his memory are requested in care of the family.
