

She was born on October 2, 1934 in Lansing, Michigan to the late Ralph Waldo and Ruthe (Wheatley) Hadley.
Ann married George F. Baird on December 27, 1956, and were married 69 years.
Survivors include her husband, George Baird of Bradenton, Florida, and a sister, Alice Corwin, of Portland, Oregon. She was also preceded in death by their son, Robert (1958) and a sister, Janet Close.
Ann’s four surviving children are Kathy Niederkorn, (late James), Kristy Huck (Shawn), Kimberly Schmitt (Eric), and David Baird (Kelly). She was blessed by many grandchildren, Lindsay Hamaker, Hadley Arnits, Cara Luhring, Makenzie Schmitt, Ashley Hewitt, Anne Vandecoevering, Marcy O’Conner, Sidnay Huck, Taylor Sandstrom, Emma Baird and Dana Kennedy. She treasured her 21 great grandchildren.
Ann served as a strong military wife as they traveled extensively on assignment for many years. She volunteered in multiple capacities over the years, whether on base or in the schools. Family and faith played a major importance in her life caring for those in her community. Returning to Clear Lake in Fremont, Indiana was also a special place to call her home away from home.
Burial will be at Lester Cemetery, Branch County, Michigan on Friday, July 10.
