

He was born on March 31, 1948 in Bluffton, Indiana.
Jim graduated from Fort Wayne Northside High School in 1966.
He worked in sales most of his life, retiring as a sales manager.
Jim enjoyed music and was active in the marching band at Northside High School. He played tennis while he lived in California, Hawaii, Oregon and in Fort Wayne. The family had a lake cottage at Crooked Lake, and he enjoyed water skiing and sailing. He also enjoyed biking, hiking, running, surfing, model airplanes and had several train sets.
His favorite passion was playing drums and later learned to play the banjo and guitar. He played in the Bob Miller Quartet, the Malemen and played for numerous groups.
Survivors include his loving sister, Melody Kischkau of Fremont, Indiana, step-sister, Linda McCoskey of Fort Wayne, Indiana, step-brother, Danny McCoskey of New Haven, Indiana, nieces, Jennifer (Chris Pille) Shown of Occoquan, Virginia, Jeanne (Josh) Emmerich of Toledo, Ohio, Wendy Wuthrich of Elkhart, Indiana, Cher Cripe of Goshen, Indiana, and a nephew, Jason Wuthrich, Elkhart, Indiana, step-nephews, Michael Carter and Gary Carter, both of Fort Wayne, Indiana.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Brickley, mother, Norma Gene Lehman, a sister, Stephanie Wuthrich, brothers-in-law, Robert Kischkau, Timothy Wuthrich, and a step-sister, Delores Carter.
A graveside service will be held at 1 pm Saturday, July 11, 2026 at Lakeside Cemetery, Fremont, Indiana. Pastor Rodney Snyder will officiate the service. Visitation will be held prior to the graveside service from 12:00 noon until 12:30 pm Saturday at Beams Funeral Home.
