Jerry T. Detro

He was born on November 12, 1940 in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Jerry attended Central High School in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

He retired from International Harvester in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Jerry married Donna Reed on August 29, 1961.

He was a wonderful grandfather, dad, and husband.

Survivors include his wife, Donna DeTro of Lake Gage, Angola, Indiana, daughter, Diana (Jeff) Metcalf of Auburn, Indiana, daughter-in-law, Tammy DeTro of Orland, Indiana, grandchildren, Dustin (Jen) Metcalf of Harlan, Indiana, Joshua (Emma) Metcalf of Auburn, Indiana, Jeffrey (Amelia) DeTro, Jr. of Angola, Indiana and Jamie (Jordan) Maschino of Orland, Indiana, great-grandchildren, Mecedes, Colton, Alexis, Asher, Alicia, Callaway, Quinn and Maddox, and a sister, Marylou Fields of The Villages, Florida.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Mildred (Gregg) Detro, a son, Jeffrey S. DeTro, Sr., and a sister, Barbara DeTro.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 1 pm until 4 pm Sunday, April 6, 2025 at the Orland American Legion Post # 423, Orland, Indiana.
