Joel Nelson Lusch

He was born in Aberdeen, South Dakota, on June 18, 1967.

Joel worked for Tenneco Automotive, in Angola, Indiana for the last 25 years.

He was an Eagle Scout, and graduated from Valley High School, in West Des Moines, Iowa. He was a member of the Fremont Moose Lodge, the Moose Riders, and the Sons of the American Legion at the Fremont American Legion Cassel Post # 257. Joel loved his motorcycle and friends very much, but his family was the most important part of his life.

Joel married Jolanda Kay Michael on February 26, 1999 in Angola, Indiana.

Survivors include his wife, Jolanda Lusch of Fremont, Indiana, daughters, Chelsea Kolkman of Angola, Indiana, Alyssa Kolkman of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Rayne Lusch, Ashley Gaffney, and Kyla Barnes, all of Fremont, Indiana, grandchildren, Aaliah Kolkman, Kraeden Preston, Jaxon Gaffney, Kaiden Barnes, and Joeseff Green, Jr., his father, Calvin Ordell Lusch of Spearfish, South Dakota, his mother and step-father, Kaye LaRee (Nelson) and Francis Wes Tilley, of Bonne Terre, Missouri, a brother, Tyler J. Walpole of Des Moines, Iowa, his mother-in-law, Judie Fahnestock of Ohio, sisters-in-law, Petra Lange of Des Moines, Iowa, Jamie (Bill) Reed, Jodie (Ronnie Lawrence) Michael, and Julie (Tink) Wilson, all of Ohio, and Kathy (Jay) Kennedy of Texas, brothers-in-law, Gary Fahnestock of Texas, Bill Fahnestock of Louisiana, and Jim Fahnestock of Texas, an uncle, Rex Nelson of Panama City, Florida, and nephews, Keegan Walpole, and Kaiden Walpole.

Calling hours will be held from 2-5 pm on Sunday, October, 15, 2017 at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, Indiana.

Funeral Services will be held at 5 pm Monday, October 16, 2017 at Beams Funeral Home, with Rev. Jon Bruney officiating.

According to Joel’s wishes cremation will take place after the services.

Memorials are requested in care of the family.
