Kathleen Marie Hayes

She was born on July 19, 1956 in Montpelier, Ohio to the late Albert and Lois (Gebhardt) Schuller.

Kathleen was an artist and painted scenery and portraits. She also worked for an art supply store in Decatur, Illinois. But mostly she enjoyed being a homemaker, mom, grandmother and wife.

Kathleen married William Hayes on July 9, 1986 in Pioneer, Ohio.

Survivors include her husband, William Hayes of Fremont, Indiana, sons, Shannon Nickols of Angola, Indiana, Sheldon (Nikki) Nickols of Angola, Indiana and Brad Nickols of Ashley, Indiana, five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, seven siblings and many nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by a sister and two brothers.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later time.

Memorial contributions in her memory may be directed to the American Cancer Society or to the Steuben County Cancer Association.
