Lawrence Eugene Medford

He was born on February 5, 1943, in Charleston, West Virginia, the son of Carl and Stella (Bogan) Medford, they preceded him in death.

Lawrence married Janet C. Jeffery on May 20, 1960, in West Virginia.

He retired after 24 years at Dexter Axle, in Fremont. Lawrence was a Christian, he enjoyed fishing, and working in his garage with his sons, grandchildren, and best friends. He was a wonderful man, he knew how to bring everyone’s spirits up, and was a rock for many.

Survivors include his wife, Janet C. Medford of Orland, Indiana, his children, Peggy Priddy of Sutton, West Virginia, Lawrence Medford, and Tony Medford both of Orland, Indiana, Troy Medford of Angola, Indiana, and Rick Medford of Niles, Michigan, he has over thirty grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, four brothers, Jack (Karen) Medford of Elkhart, Indiana, David (Rosemary) Medford of Orland, Indiana, Ernest (Debbie) Medford of Belle, West Virginia, Danny (Debbie) Medford of Bedford, Kentucky, two sisters, Carolyn (Walter) Overbaugh of Angola, Indiana, and Irene (Robert) Pearson of Clendenin, West Virginia.

He was also preceded in death by three brothers, William H. “Billy” Medford, Frank Medford, Tommy Medford, four sisters, Louella Roberts, Rebecca Priddy, Karen Fleck, and Chloe Medford.

Memorial Services will be held at 11 am Saturday, November 4, 2017 at the Lake Gage Church, Angola, Indiana, with Evangelists Stephen Altman and Mickey Overbaugh officiating. There will be one hour of calling prior to the services at the church.

Immediately following services there will be a carry in dinner at the church.
