Leona was born on August 25, 1939 in Toledo, Ohio, the daughter of Donald and Helena (Feeney) Smith, they preceded her in death.
She graduated from Anthony Wayne High School in Whitehouse, Ohio.
She married Richard Milton Hite on March 7, 1959.
Survivors include her husband, Richard Milton Hite, I of Snow Lake, Fremont, Indiana, five children, Richard M. (Shelly) Hite, II, Gene A. (Theresa) Hite of Toledo, Ohio, Cheri L. (Mike) Larrow of Fremont, Indiana, Brett L. (Dena) Hite of Neapolis, Ohio, and Chris K. Hite of Maumee, Ohio, 11 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10 am Saturday, September 16, 2017 at the Neapolis Church of Christ, 8221 Main Street, Neapolis, Ohio.
