He was born on September 17, 1921 in Rosehille, Ohio, to Oscar L. and Ella M. (Tebo) Dellinger. They preceded him in death. He married Virginia (Kauffman) on April 4, 1942. She survives.
Mr. Dellinger was a retired sales representative from Material Handing Equipment Company, Ft. Wayne, Indiana.
The Dellinger’s are very grateful for the idyllic life they have had and appreciate the opportunities for enjoying the great outdoors by experiencing life by the lake. Fishing was always a favorite. Other interests included helping Virginia's dad caulk and paint boats for rental use on Seven Sisters Lake, making birdhouses, some out of gourds ( which people were eager to buy) feeding the birds, and cooking.
Down to earth, that’s what our life was like, but that is what he liked and he enjoyed it all. Lester enjoyed the good, simple, family times of front porch swings, picnics, and taking his wife and daughters to the movies on Friday or Saturday nights or baking pizza for the daughters and their friends after a ball game. He also enjoyed gardening, grilling, and yardwork, and was very proud of his, daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and enjoyed and followed all their activites.
Surviving are: his wife Virginia Dellinger, Angola, Indiana; two daughters, Sandra K. Dellinger, Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Karol L. Blosser, Fort Wayne, Indiana; two grandchildren, Jason & Ginny Blosser, Indianapolis, Indiana, and Jamie & Jeff Wolf, Garrett, Indiana; and four great-grandchildren, Emma Blosser, Porter Blosser, Robby Bailey, and Brittany Bailey.
He was preceded In death by his parents; one brother; and five sister.
