

Mrs. Snyder was born June 3, 1940, in Fremont, Ind., to Ward and Mabel (Withington) Chapin. They preceded her in death.
She married Ned Snyder on May 1, 1959, in Fremont, Ind. He survives.
Mrs. Snyder and her husband owned Snyder’s Culligan Water Conditioning from 1959-1999.
She was a graduate of Quincy High School class of 1958.
Mrs. Snyder was a member of the Fremont United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday School and sang in the choir for many years.
Survivors are her husband, Ned Snyder of Fremont, Ind.; three sons, Kevin and Robin Snyder of Dallas, Texas, Chris and Tina Snyder of Fremont, Ind., and Kent and Debra Snyder of Nashville, Tenn.; nine grandchildren, Mitchell Snyder, Carrie Snyder, Spencer Snyder, Travis Snyder, Lindsay Bartlett, Alex Snyder, Corey Snyder, Kendall Snyder and Madison Snyder; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Jean Hazlett; three brothers-in-law, Charles Miller, George and Joyce Snyder, and Richard and Josephine Snyder; a sister-in-law, Joanie Pauwels; and a special aunt, Henretta Wenger.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ward and Mabel Chapin; a sister, Judy Miller; a brother, Chet Chapin; anda brother-in-law, Vernon Hazlett.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, Friday, December 7, 2012, at Beams Funeral Home in Fremont, Ind.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, December 8, 2012, at Fremont United Methodist Church in Fremont, Ind., with the Rev. Darin Hendrey officiating.
Burial will be in Fremont Cemetery, Fremont, Indiana, at a later time.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested through the Steuben County Community Foundation for the Fremont United Methodist Church; to the Snyder Ivy Tech Scholarship Fund; or to the Fremont Cemetery.
