Matthew Joe Nigro, age 32, of Fremont, Indiana, passed away Monday, March 13, 2017 in Fremont, Indiana He was born on December 29, 1984 in Angola, Indiana, a son of Steven Joe and Eve Denise (Swager) Foster. Matt’s mother, Eve, passed away in 1986 and father, Steve Foster & Lynn Wiseman, survive, and live in Angola, Indiana. Private funeral services were held Thursday, March 16, 2017, at Beams Funeral Home, with Father Robert Showers officiating. Matt graduated from Angola High School in 2003, and Middle Tennessee University in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, in 2007. Following his graduation from MTSU in Sound and Music Technology Matt went on to work at some of the largest sound production firms in the industry from sound crew to crew chief ending with production manager. His first job was with Brantley Sound in Nashville, Tennessee then moved on to Swank Productions in Denver, Colorado. When Swank was purchased by PSI Productions he quickly moved up the ladder to production manager at the Denver location then was transferred to the Opryland Hotel in Nashville, Tennessee. He returned home to Indiana recently and was working at the Holiday Inn Express in Fremont as a night auditor and training for a position of general manager at one of the owner’s hotel. During his work years Matthew continued his music talents as a member of the Winslow family productions. As a writer, musician as well as a producer of 4 albums. His band members all traveled to be with Matt at his final resting coming from California, Colorado, and Tennessee. Additional survivors for Matt include his loving guardians, John A and Ellen “Gwen” Nigro, Jr. of Fremont, Indiana, four brothers, James A. (Kathy) Foster, Daniel R. (Dottie) Nigro, Zachery C. Nigro, Jonathan C. Gregg, two sisters, Gwendolyn “Wendy”(Robert) Wilson, Wendy Jo Coleman, two grandmother’s, Alice Swager, and Madge Foster both of Fremont, Indiana, two nephews, Jaren and Kyle Foster, a niece Destany Foster, several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many beloved friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, William Swager, and Okey R. Foster, Jr. Matthew was laid to rest next to his mother (Eve) at Fremont Cemetery. Memorials contributions may be made in care of The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
