

Norma Jean Worthington, age 79, of Hicksville, Ohio, and formerly of Coldwater Lake , Michigan, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday July 2, 2014 at the Hospice of the Valley Sherman Home in Phoenix, AZ.
She was born July 10, 1934 in Campbellsville, KY., to Garland and Essie (Wise) Shively.
Norma Jean married Max Worthington on December 10, 1988.
She had worked at Magnavox, Angola Wire, and retired from Cooper Standard Automotive in Auburn, Indiana in 1998. She then moved to Coldwater Lake, Coldwater, MI.
Norma graduated from Hamilton High School in Hamilton, Indiana. She was a member of St. Michaels Catholic Church, Hicksville, Ohio, and had attended Catholic churches in Coldwater, Michigan and Phoenix, Arizona. She also had been a faithful listener of Joel Olsteen on Sunday mornings. Norma had a great love for enjoying life, and the most important things to her were “Maggie Mae”, her little Yorkie, which was the “love of her life”, her family, and lots and lots of friends.
Survivors include her daughters: Brenda & Tom Waffle of Angola, Indiana, Karen & Tom Emerine of Middle Point , Ohio, and Diane & Rick Hall of Phoenix, AZ., a step-daughter: Lou Ann and Danny Turner of Lucama, NC., two step-sons: Bradford & Kathy Worthington of San Antonio, TX., and Frederick & Jan Worthington of Jacksonville, NC., four grandchildren: Andrew Emerine, Brent Waffle, Katie McCool, and Kent Waffle, five great grandsons: Caleb, Keston, Eli, Miles, and Max, four step-grandchildren, and six step-great-grandchildren, a brother, Joe and Wanda Shively of Fremont, IN., and three nieces and two nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Max Worthington, her parents, Garland and Essie Shively, one daughter, Pamela (stillborn), one nephew Greg Shively, and one great nephew Chad Shively
Visitation will be from 5-8 pm Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, Indiana.
The funeral service will be at 11 am Wednesday, July 9, 2014 Beams Funeral Home, with Pastor Clark Williman officiating.
Burial will be at Lakeside Cemetery of Fremont, Indiana.
