

She was born on October 26, 1933 in Calumet City, Illinois to the late Kenneth and Stella (Kantowicz) Smith.
Pat graduated from Thornton Fractional North High School , Calumet City, Illinois in 1951.
She enjoyed knitting, doing crochet, and reading. She donated many items working in her sewing group at Peace Lutheran Church, where she was a long time member.
Pat and her husband Chris formerly lived in Lansing, Illinois, and retired to Golden Lake in Steuben County, and later lived near Fremont for several years.
She married Chris Schultz on November 14, 1953 in Calumet City, Illinois. He preceded her in death on November 16, 2018.
Survivors include a son, Thomas (Kathie) Schultz, a daughter, Karen (Rob) Schultz-Groszewski of LaPorte, Indiana, grandchildren, Ryan (Janice) Schultz of Thomaston, Georgia, Christopher (Kristine) Schultz of Thomaston, Georgia, Robert Groszewski, III of Evansville, Indiana, Lucas (Stephanie) Groszewski of Hammond, Indiana, Kassia (Chris) Gast of Indianapolis, Indiana and Katie (Mike) Stitcher of Woodbury, Georgia, great-grandchildren, Sahara Bates, Joey Choy, Landon Schultz, Chloe Stitcher and Tanner Stitcher, and great-great-grandchildren, Eloura and Kaisley.
She was also preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Parker and a brother, Robert Smith.
Visitation will be held from 10 am until 11 am Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at Peace Lutheran Church, Fremont, Indiana.
Memorial Services will follow at 11 am Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at Peace Lutheran Church, Fremont, Indiana. Pastor Jeffrey Teeple will officiate the service.
Burial will be held immediately following the service at Jamestown Cemetery, Fremont, Indiana.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations in her memory may be directed to Peace Lutheran Church.
