
Mr. German was a retired service technician for the Orland Citgo (formerly Norton’s Service Station) in Orland.
He graduated in 1957 from Orland High School and lived his entire life in Steuben County, Indiana.
Mr. German enjoyed antique cars, riding his Goldwing motorcycle, horses, his dog, Molly, and his family.
He was born December 9, 1937, in Steuben County, Ind., to Wayne and Grace (Everling) German. They preceded him in death.
He married Shirley M. Schueler on January 30, 1960, in Angola, Indiana. She survives in Orland, Ind.
Also surviving are three daughters, Tammie and Max Reynolds of Angola, Ind., Treasa and Mark Palmer of Howe, Ind., and Trina German and her companion, Kevin Groth, of Hudson, Ind.; four grandchildren, Thomas Opdycke, Trevor Opdycke, Anna Palmer and Jessica Vazquez; two great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Wayne and Eunice German of Bronson, Mich., and Gene and Betty German of Orland, Ind; one sister-in-law, Judy and Michael McCrea of Angola, Ind.
There will be no visitation.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, November 26, 2012, at Greenlawn Cemetery in Orland, Ind., with the Rev. Stephen Altman officiating.
