He was born on April 7, 1937 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Raphael and Bertha (Wilcox) Rensel.
Richard proudly served his Country in the United States Navy.
He retired from the former Alchem Aluminum in Coldwater, Michigan.
Richard enjoyed bowling and golfing.
Survivors include a daughters, Gail Hamlin of Battle Creek, Michigan and Denise Foster of Indiana, grandchildren, Ben Strong, Allison Dotterer and Levi Hamlin, a brother, William (Jackie) Rensel of Arizona, and nieces Heidi and Wendy.
He was also preceded in death by a brother Raphael.
