Bob was born on March 25, 1935 in Angola, Indiana, the son of Earl and Mona (Bartholomew) Wolfe. He was a graduate of Coldwater High School. On December 15, 1956 he married June (Sally) Snyder of Metz, Indiana.
He formerly worked for the Wabash Railroad in Montpelier, Ohio, and retired from Dana-Weatherhead in Angola, Indiana.
Bob was very talented at machining, woodworking, and enjoyed making banjo’s, fiddles, and muzzle loaders. Bob enjoyed sharing his talents and skills with many others. He was a self-taught musician who enjoyed attending Bluegrass Festivals and playing music with his friends. Bob’s love of Native American culture led him on many unique adventures. He enjoyed gathering with friends and neighbors for morning coffee at the Bullpen in Fremont, Indiana.
Survivors include his wife, June “Sally” (Snyder) Wolfe of Montgomery, Michigan, his children, Christopher Wolfe of Detroit, Michigan, Kathie Woods of Montgomery, Michigan, Bonnie (Jim) Lyon, and Connie (Wes) Rigot of Coldwater, Michigan, and grandchildren, Alexandra Lyon, and Zachary Rigot.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Sue Ann Wolfe.
Bob’s family wishes to thank the caring staff of Maple Lawn Medical Care Facility. Their loving attention to the final years of Bob’s life will not be forgotten. Remembrance gifts may be directed to Maple Lawn. Cards may be sent to June (Sally) Wolfe, 50 Sanderson Lane, Coldwater, MI 49036.
In accordance with Bob’s wishes, he will be cremated. A private memorial gathering will be planned at a later date.
