Roger Dean Hoyer

He was born on August 16, 1941 in Angola, Indiana to the late Basil and Marcella (Sloffer) Hoyer.

He married Bonnye Stayner on August 20, 2015. She preceded him in death on March 2, 2019.

Roger worked for the Indiana State Highway for many years.

He enjoyed fishing, being outdoors, mowing the lawn and visiting the local casinos.

Survivors include a sons, Greggory (Maria) Hoyer of Tooele, Utah and Jeffrey (Anna) Hoyer of Angola, Indiana, grandchildren, Savanna, Alisha, Jacqi, Brittney, Zac, Ayreal, Kristen and Dominick, great-grandchildren, Ayries, Charley, Kimberly, AnnMarie, Leiah, Layden, Lorel, Kali, Drew, Bryce, Gavin, Vivian, Donaven, Avery and Kaden, brother, Gene (Judy) Hoyer of Centennial, Colorado, and sisters, Faye (Court) Jarrett of Emory, Texas and Connie (Mike) Schwartz of Lima, Ohio.

He was also preceded in death by a sister, Beth Hanchar.

Visitation will be held from 4 pm until 6 pm Thursday, December 4, 2025 at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, Indiana.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 am Friday, December 5, 2025 at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, Indiana. Pastor Rodney Snyder will officiate the service.

Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery, Orland, Indiana.
