Ronald Scott Gary

Ron was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, on August 5, 1959. He lived in Fremont, Indiana, graduating from Fremont High School in 1977, and he served our country in the United States Air Force. He worked for many years as a software developer. He enjoyed traveling, playing guitar, going to concerts, major league baseball games, going on adventures with his wife, riding his motorcycle and spending time with his family. He was a very devoted loving husband, a loving father to all of our children, and a simple man who cared for so many.

He married Tracy A. (Moffitt) on September 8, 1998 in Portland, Oregon.

Survivors include his wife, Tracy A. Gary of Fremont, Indiana, his children, his son, Jake (Genevieve) Gary of Portland, Oregon, and his daughter, Kimberley (Johnny) Gonzales, of Umatilla, Oregon, his two step-children, Terry (Severina) Cox of Waukee, Iowa, and Kassandra (Benji) Gary of Lyons, Nebraska, four grandsons whom he adored immensely, Rome, Noah, Jonathan, and Skyler, his father, James Gary of Fremont, Indiana, his sister, Karen (Larry) Jack of Pleasant Lake, Indiana, his mother-in-law, Charlotte Moffitt, two brothers-in-law, Tim (Kim) Moffitt and Thomas Moffitt, two nephews, Brian Jack and Nicholas (Jenny) Moffitt, two nieces, Rachel (Corey) Botkin and Hannah Moffitt, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins he was so fond of.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce Gary, in 2012, and a sister, Jennifer Gary, in 1993.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 7 pm Monday, February 13, 2017 at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, Indiana, with Rev. John Boyanowski officiating.

There will be calling hours prior to the Celebration from 5-7 pm Monday, at Beams Funeral Home.

Military honors will be conducted by members of the Fremont American Legion Cassel Post # 257 Color Guard.

Memorial donation in his memory are requested to the Steuben County Cancer Association.
