Suellen "Susie" Izora Crandall

Suellen "Susie" Izora Crandall, age 68, of Fremont, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, August 3, 2022, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne, Indiana, with her family by her side, following a courageous battle with breast cancer. Susie was born February 27, 1954 in Columbia City, Indiana to Kenneth and June (Keyes) Crandall. She graduated from Fremont High School in 1972. She graduated from Manchester College with an education degree, and received her Master's degree from Indiana University, Fort Wayne. Susie taught school for 35 years, starting at Mentone Elementary School as a 4th grade teacher. She mostly taught 4th grade at Prairie Heights Elementary until her retirement. She was a very active member of the Fremont United Methodist Church, she sang in the choir, taught vacation bible school, was active with the Kid's Club, served on many boards and also for the parish council. She served on the Fremont Town Planning Commission, the Commons Housing Authority, and the Fremont Library Board. Susie enjoyed playing golf, western art, native american culture, and any dog, and any horse. She loved to bake and sew. She was an avid reader, and also enjoyed traveling. Survivors include her sisters, Lori Crandall of Fremont, Indiana, and Jenny (Scott) Tsuleff of Fort Wayne, Indiana, much loved nieces and nephew, Brittany Tsuleff of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Maria (Andrew) Lehr of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Zachary (Hannah) Tsuleff of Fishers, Indiana, two great-nephews, Nick Lehr, and Kaladin Lehr, a great-niece, Madelyn Tsuleff, many cousins, and her dog, Poppy. She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and June Crandall. Visitation will be held from 2 pm until 5 pm Sunday, August 7, 2022 at the Fremont United Methodist Church, 105 N. Tolford Street, Fremont, Indiana. Funeral Services will be held at 11 am Monday, August 8, 2022 at Fremont United Methodist Church, Fremont, Indiana. Rev. Tracey Zimmerman will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Lakeside Cemetery, Fremont, Indiana. Memorial donations in her memory may be directed in care of the Fremont United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 653, Fremont, Indiana, 46737.
