Virginia E. “Ginny” Workman, age 81, of Orland, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, November 22, 2018 at her residence.

Ginny was born on February 27, 1937 in Mishawaka, Indiana to Gilbert and Genivieve (Householder) Quick, Sr., they preceded her in death.

She grew up in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and attended Central High School.

Ginny married Robert L. Workman on March 21, 1952 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, he preceded her in death on February 2, 2017.

She retired from Magnavox after 26 years in Ft. Wayne, and also worked for Ucom for 6 years in Orland.

She lived the past 28 years in Orland, and was a member of the First Congregation Church. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, camping, and her pets.

Survivors include her children, Debora (Randy) Harpel of Orland, Indiana, Sherry Buuck of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, and Tom (Andree) Workman of Orland, Indiana, nine grandchildren, twenty three great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, three sisters, Madelaine (Robert) Albaugh of Niles, Michigan, Glenda (Steve) Borelli of Mesa, Arizona, and Kathy Canfield of Elkhart, Indiana, and three brothers, DeWayne Quick, Rick Quick, and John (Pollie) Quick, all of Elkhart, Indiana.

Ginny was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, Jeff Buuck, a sister, Madonna Tinsley, and brothers, Gilbert Quick, Jr., Roger Quick, and Robert Quick.

Calling hours will be held from 5-8 pm Monday, November 26, 2018 at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, Indiana.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 am Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at Beams Funeral Home, with Pastor Mark Emelander officiating.

Memorial donations in her memory are requested to Parkview Noble Hospice, P.O. Box 728, Kendallville, Indiana 46755, or to the First Congregational Church, P.O. Box 2, Orland, Indiana 46776.

Debbie: I met your mom through meeting and working with you and Andree in Orland, and also through "Ginny" being Grant and Ryan's grandmother since the boys are such good friends with my son, Matthew Garvin.
