Yolene Hope Champion

She was born on March 23, 1938 in Angola, Indiana to the late Russell and Mary (Ray) Rinehart.

She graduated from Angola High School.

She married Lynn Champion on November 8, 1963 in Angola, Indiana. He preceded her in death on November 5, 2016.

Mickie was a stay-at-home mom and homemaker for 12 years. She then worked for the Holiday Inn in Angola, IN for 23 years, retiring in 2002. She was a longtime member of SonLight Community Church, Angola, Indiana.

Her hobbies included sewing, cooking, baking, and planting flowers. Her true passion from an early age, and what she dedicated her life to, was caring for and providing for her family and loved ones.

Survivors include a son, Christopher Champion of Stevensville, Michigan, a grand-daughter, Morgan Champion of Tampa, FL, two brothers, Joseph Rinehart of Angola, IN, and Steven Rinehart of Morgantown, West Virginia, and many nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, five sisters, and a brother.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later time.
