Genevieve R. Hoffman

Genevieve R. Hoffman, 94, of Fremont died Thursday, August 13, 2015 at Elmwood at The Springs. She was born December 30, 1920 in Fremont the daughter of Joseph and Juliana (House) Young. On December 14, 1943 she married John A. Hoffman at St. Catherine Chapel, Jacksonville Naval Air Base, FL.She was a graduate of St. Joseph High School and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Confraternity of Blessed Sacrament.Surviving are her children, David Hoffman of Holland, OH, Thomas Hoffman and Mary Sauber both of Fremont, OH; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; son, Ronald; parents; aunt and uncle who raised her, Frank and Mary Karlovetz; brothers, Raymond, Fritz, Mervin, Paul; sisters, Irene Nighswander, Marguerite Bender, Dorothy Mallow, Helen Gillig and Anna Mae Pump.

Visitation will take place Sunday, from 4-8P.M., with memorial services beginning 7:30P.M. officiated by Deacon Mel Shell at Keller-Koch-Chudzinski Funeral Home, 416 S. Arch Street, Fremont, OH. Mass of Resurrection will begin at 9:30A.M. on Monday, August 17, 2015 at the funeral home, with Rev. Michael Zacharias and Deacon James Heyman officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church for Masses or the Kidney Foundation of NW Ohio for Juvenile Diabetes.
