Juanita C. Nichols, 71, of Fremont, passed away Thursday, April 11, 2019 at the Cleveland Clinic. She was born the daughter of John and Saphrona (Holcomb) Nichols on September 16, 1947 in Lizemores, West Virginia. She was a strong Christian of her faith and a member of the Church of the Nazarene. Juanita was also very active outdoors, and loved to watch the birds and work in her garden. She was a skilled floral designer, and worked for Pat Catan’s for a while before branching off on her own and taking her art to craft shows and flea markets. Her talents expanded beyond flowers. Juanita enjoyed all kinds of crafting projects, from making jewelry to making baked goods, and loved to delight friends and family with the things she made. She will be remembered for the many family holiday get-togethers she hosted, especially Easter, which was her favorite. She was a wonderful and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Left to cherish her memory are her children; Beverly Drake of Fremont, Brad (Kim) Drake of Ostrander, OH, sister, Carrie Tschann, 7 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Andy Drake, brother, Bob Nichols, and sister, Ruth Carr.

Visitation will take place Thursday, April 18, 2019 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Church of the Nazarene, 1925 N Fifth Street, Fremont, OH, 43420. Funeral services will begin at 12:00 pm at the church. Pastor Dan Vickey will be officiating. Burial will follow at Green Creek "Gibbs" Cemetery in Fremont.
