Noreen M. Snyder

Noreen M. Snyder, 84, of Fremont passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born November 11, 1928 in Fremont, the daughter of Herman and Lucille (Mosser) Setzler. Noreen was a 1946 graduate of St. Joseph High School. On October 18, 1952 she married Don Snyder at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Fremont. Mrs. Snyder was a charter member of Sacred Heart Parish where she was an active member of the Blessed Sacrament Confraternity and the Altar Rosary Society. She volunteered her time in the cafeteria at Sacred Heart, cleaning the church and was a Red Cross blood donor. Noreen enjoyed gardening, cooking, polka dancing and spending time with her family especially at their Sand Beach cottage.

Surviving is her husband of 60 years, Don Snyder of Fremont, OH, children: Dave of Toledo, OH; Marty of Sevierville, TN; Shari and Bryan, both of Fremont; grandchildren: Tony, Linsay and Nick Ackerman; sisters: Pat Golamb, Rosemary “Toot” (Jerry) Foos, brothers, John (Nancy) Setzler and Dick (Jeanette) Setzler all of Fremont. She was preceded in death by her parents, infant daughter, Marianne; sister Kathleen Foos and brothers-in-law: Louie Foos and Marion “John” Golamb. The family would like to acknowledge the staff at Memorial Hospital, North Coast Cancer Care, Drs. James Fanning, John Yuhas, Jennifer Brown, Hospice of Memorial Hosptial and a host of friends and relatives for their support, guidance and prayers.

Visitation will take place Tuesday, March 12, 2013 from 2-4 and 6-8P.M. at Keller-Ochs-Koch-Mason Funeral & Cremation Service, 416 S. Arch Street, Fremont, OH.

A Mass of Resurrection will begin at 11:30A.M. on Wednesday from Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Fr. Ken Lil officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
