Mrs. Patricia A. Sneider Schumm

Patricia A. Schumm nee Sneider, 78 of Fremont died at Countryside Continuing Care Center on January 10, 2012. She was born on January 30, 1933 in Fremont the daughter of Walter J. and Bertha L. (Weltin) Sneider. She was a 1950 graduate of St. Joseph’s High School and attended Mary Manse College of Toledo. On October 3, 1953 in Fremont She married Robert J. Schumm. Patricia worked for the Ohio BMV, retiring in 1985. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Joseph Rosary and Marian Society and held past memberships with St. Francis Senior Guild and Elks Emblem Club. Patricia enjoyed wintering in Gulf Shores, AL, with her husband, needlework, the sunshine and golf. She was a devoted wife and mother, her sense of humor and smile will be missed.

She is survived by her children Therese S. (Thomas) Ward of Vermilion; Michael R. (Teresa) Schumm of Sandusky; Lynne M. (James) Franks of Fremont; Lori S. (Glenn) Misner of Clyde; Grandchildren: Colin and Alison Ward; Bryan and Jared Schumm; Erica, Matthew and Sarah Franks; Nicholas Walker; Brother Thomas J. (Judith) Sneider of Ft. Collins, CO; sister-in laws Sandra Sneider of Chicago, IL and Dolores Sneider of Ft. Collins, CO.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Robert, who died November 25, 2011; parents Walter J. and Bertha L. Sneider, brothers Frederick, Richard and James.

Visitation will take place on Friday, January 13, 2011 from 3 to 7P.M. at Keller-Ochs-Koch-Mason Funeral & Cremation Service, 416 S. Arch Street, Fremont, Ohio. Vigil services will begin at 7:00P.M. with Deacon Jim Hammer officiating A Mass of Resurrection will begin at 10:00A.M. on Saturday from St. Joseph Catholic Church, 709 Croghan Street, Fremont, OH, with Rev. Michael Zacharias officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Central Catholic High School or Hospice of Memorial Hospital.
