

Tamara “Tammy” Stohl, 57, of Fremont, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on October 1, 2013 at the Willows Nursing Home in Bellevue, under the care of Hospice of Memorial Hospital and surrounded by her family.
Tammy was born to the late Sally (Hunsinger) and James Troike on July 25, 1956 in Fremont, Ohio. On July 30, 1994 in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee she married Gary Stohl.
She graduated from Fremont Ross in 1974. She was employed by Glatfelter, and had 33 years of service and many, many great friends. Tammy was one of the original members that organized the 1st Moore Business Forms Reunion. She was a former volunteer for Memorial Hospital Hospice, enjoyed going to her nieces’ volleyball games, taking her granddaughter to karate and girl scouts, and attending sprint car racing. Tammy was a loyal fan of Chad and Brian Kemenah and their racing teams.
Survivors include her loving husband Gary Stohl; three remarkable step-children, April VanNess, Ryan (Carrie) Stohl of Fremont, Rebecca (Ryan) MacLean of Ann Arbor, MI; a granddaughter, who was her pride and joy, Ava VanNess, a grandson Kody Culbert; two sisters Lucy (Tom) Mathia of Gibsonburg and Amy (Mike) Graham of Tiffin; two nieces, Wendy (Josh) Muntz of Helena and Whitney Mathia of Clyde; two nephews, Ryan (Lorrie) Mathia of Luckey and Douglas Graham of Fostoria; and her two faithful cats Stewart and Bootsie.
She was preceded in death by her parents, mother-in-law and father-in-law Naomi and Fred Stohl, maternal aunt Jayne Michael, and loving paternal aunt and uncle Cliff and Faye “Aunt Wheezie” Louise Schaaf.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, October 3, 2013 from 10:00A.M. -2:00P.M and 4:00P.M. -8:00P.M. at Keller-Ochs-Koch –Mason Funeral Home, 416 S. Arch Street, Fremont, OH. Funeral Services will begin at 11:00A.M. on Friday, October 4, 2013 at the funeral home with Pastor Forrest Kirchenbauer officiating. Burial will follow at McGormley Cemetery in Ballville Township.
