Thomas Eugene Bartson, 70, of Fremont, passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2015. He was born December 20, 1944 in Fremont, Ohio to Robert and Jeanne (Ritchart) Bartson. He graduated from Old Fort High School in 1963, and went on to serve in the U.S. Navy until 1967 as a radioman 3rd class Petty Officer. Thomas served 25 months in the Philippines and gave direct support to Vietnam. After his service in the military, Thomas worked at Whirlpool for 35 years until his retirement. He was a supporter of St. Jude Hospital.
Surviving are nephews, Rick Hickman of Fremont, OH, Andrew Hickman of Tiffin, OH, and Dustin Hickman of Delaware, OH.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Pat Hickman.
Memorial services will be announced at a later date.
