Rev. Abraham M. Rababy

He was ordained by the Pentecostal Church of God in 1957 and served as the Senior Pastor at Fresno Worship Center in Fresno, CA for the past 11 years. He was also the pastor at the Assyrian Pentecostal Church of Turlock, CA.

He began his ministry over 50 years ago in Beirut, Lebanon with his wife, Carolyn. They moved to Fresno in 1987 where they were involved in local churches, social work and the local community. He traveled and ministered throughout the world as an evangelist for many years. He loved to learn about all cultures and languages. He witnessed God's love all his days.

The family wishes to express their gratitude for the outpouring of love and support.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn, in 2005.

Abraham is survived by his son, LtCol David A. Rababy (USMC ret), his wife, Kelly, and their children, Christopher, Bethany and Sarah; his daughter, Michelle Markwardt, and her husband, Gregory, and their daughter, Whitney. He is also survived by his sister Jeandarc, brother Wajdi, sister Magdeline, brother George, sister Leila, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns and Blair Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.

Graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. at Belmont Memorial Park, 201 N. Teilman, Fresno on Thursday, April 19, 2012.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held immediately following at 11:00 a.m. at Northwest Church, 5415 N. West Ave, Fresno.
