Mr Alex Butch Metzler

Butch's passion in life was trucks. His happiest moments were spent during trips with his son. He also loved flying with his dad, Nascar racing and animals.

He was honored to be a school board member for his beloved Helm School for almost 49 years.

You might not always remember what he said to you, but you always felt a little better for being around him.

A special thanks go out to the entire Rabb organization and everyone there. He so loved being part of that

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alex and Irene Metzler; and his brother- in-law, Bill Bitter.

Butch is survived by his wife Evy of Helm; his son Dennis of Fresno; and his sister, Andriette Bitter of Kerman. He is also survived by four nieces, Sandy, Suzie, Linda and Donna; a nephew Mark; eight foreign exchange daughters including Catalina Kotenkoff and her husband Mark; and three granddaughters, Daniela, Gabriela and Macayla.

Visitation will be held at Stephens & Bean Chapel on Tuesday, October 18, 2011, from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. followed by Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 p.m.

A Graveside Service will be held at Belmont Memorial Park on Wednesday, October 19, 2011, at 11:00 a.m.
