Alexander Medina De La Torre

Alexander De La Torre Medina (Prieto) passed away peacefully in his home on May 3rd, 2026 after battling pancreatic cancer at the age of 60. He was surrounded by his wife, mother, children, siblings, and nieces and nephews. He was born on November 28th, 1965, to Isabel De La Torre and the late Isidro De La Torre in Fresno, CA. During his youth, he helped his father in the fields as a farmworker. Alexander served in the Navy reserves from January 13th, 1986 - December 5th, 1993. He then spent 35 years as a construction worker and helped many people get into the business before retiring in 2013.

Alexander was blessed with a loving family and many friends. He married his wife, Cathy Juarez De La Torre, on September 24th, 2016. They had a beautiful daughter, Alexandria Elizabeth De La Torre, who was raised with her father’s love and devotion.

Alexander enjoyed watching boxing matches, taking trips to Pismo beach, watching old western movies and Martha Stewart with his daughter, hunting deer with his brother and cousins, and camping with his family. He was an animal lover who adored his dogs, Baby and Brownie. He was loved dearly by all of his friends and family.

Alexander is survived by his wife, Cathy; his daughter, Alexandria; his children, Lynda and Marcial; his mother, Isabel; his six brothers and sisters, Carmen, Isidro Jr., Elizabeth, Sonia, Marizela, and Roberto; and his 10 nieces and nephews.
