Alfonso Rabago III, 40, passed away on May 5, 2026. Born in Fresno, CA on December 26, 1985, Alfonso will be remembered with deep respect for the steady devotion he showed to those he loved and the generous spirit that guided so much of his life.
A man of wide-ranging interests and quiet capability, Alfonso brought care and intention to the things that mattered to him. Alfonso lived in Biola, CA all of his life. He was a great cook who especially loved catering for family events, finding joy in gathering people together and making them feel looked after. He also had an artist’s eye—he loved taking pictures and was a talented painter, expressing himself through creativity as naturally as he did through conversation and presence.
Alfonso’s curiosity and self-driven determination were evident in the way he approached learning. Proficient with computers, he taught himself all aspects without formal training, a testament to his discipline and independent mind. That same focus showed in his interest in the stock exchange, where he particularly enjoyed investing in stocks, and in the time he spent listening to podcasts—always engaged, always thinking. Alfonso was employed as a production manager for Streamline 3D Printing in Fresno, CA.
He loved sports and treasured the experiences that brought him closer to what he enjoyed most. He had the opportunity to meet favorite baseball players, including Derek Jeter and Aaron Judge, along with several other Yankee players—moments that stayed with him as bright highlights. As a senior in high school, he visited Ivy League schools, reflecting an early seriousness about the future and an openness to possibility.
Travel was another lasting passion. Alfonso traveled to Europe and visited the Vatican, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the Statue of David, and the Sistine Chapel, among other sites—places that matched his appreciation for history, beauty, and the larger world beyond home.
In everyday life, Alfonso found happiness in time spent with family—bowling, playing cards, and sharing the simple routines that become, in memory, the most cherished. He was always thinking of his family, and his generosity was not occasional but consistent, expressed through attention, encouragement, and the practical ways he showed up. He also had a gift for persuasion—so much so that he “should have been a Tesla salesman,” as he convinced his whole family to purchase one.
A Recitation of the Rosary will be held at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Kerman, California at 9:30 am on May 18th. There will be a eulogy given after the Rosary and immediately following will be a Funeral Mass at 10:00 am. After the Mass we will continue to the Committal Service at St. Peters Catholic Cemetery.
Alfonso will be deeply missed and respectfully remembered for the warmth he gave, the interests that animated him, and the enduring love he carried for his family.
