Alfred Phillip Fondacaro

Alfred Phillip Fondacaro, age 90, of Fresno, California passed away on Monday September 17, 2018 in Watsonville, California. Alfred was born February 12, 1928 in Corona Long Island , New York to Salvatore and Genevieve Fondacaro and grew up in East Harlem, New York as one of 7 children.

Alfred was a physical therapist serving the Central Valley for over 30 years. He was also a Korean War veteran and served in the Army Reserve retiring in 1974 after 24 years of service as a full Colonel in the Medical Specialist Corps. Alfred is survived by his three sons Salvatore Fondacaro, Steve Fondacaro; and Phillip Fondacaro. He is further survived by 7 grandsons, 3 grand daughters, and 2 great-grandsons and 2 great-grand daughters.

Alfred was preceded in death by his wife Lydia Fondacaro who passed away in Fresno on September 27, 2017. She was his high school sweetheart from New York City and wife of 67 years.
