It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Mother and Grandmother, Amelia “Mollie” Jimenez, on October 04, 2025. Mollie was born to Amelia Ballesteros and Frank Herrera on March 13, 1939, in Bakersfield, CA. Mollie was a cherished sister of 11 siblings and is survived by two: her baby brother and baby sister.
Mollie shared her life in love and partnership with Louie Garcia Jimenez, whom she married in 1970. Together, they built cherished memories and a strong family, until Louie’s passing in 1985, a loss she carried with grace and enduring love. Mollie was the devoted mother of four daughters: Sylvia Jimenez, Francina Castro, Melinda Jimenez (1965-2024), and Carla Jimenez — each of whom carries forward her strength, love, and unwavering spirit. She was also a proud and deeply devoted grandmother to nine, great-grandmother to sixteen, and great-great-grandmother to two. Each one a treasured light in her life. Her family was her greatest joy, and she poured her heart into every moment she spent with them
Mollie was a proud college graduate, achieving her degree at a time when higher education was not easy for women— a true testament to her strength, determination, and intelligence. She dedicated much of her life to her career, working as an office manager for Johnson’s Boiler for nearly forty years, where she was respected and admired by colleagues for her professionalism, dedication, and warm spirit.
Our beloved Mollie cherished her daughters and grandchildren above all else. Her love for family was endless, and she dedicated herself to helping and supporting those around her, touching countless lives with her kindness and generosity. She gave each of us a part of her strength through the lessons and teachings she shared throughout our lives, shaping us into the people we are today.
Our Mollie was passionate about her Dallas Cowboys, singing and dancing, and her novellas. Mollie enjoyed a remarkable 30-year bowling career, earning numerous national championships and accolades across the country. A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered. Five generations were blessed by her love. She was the heart of our family, and her presence will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
