
Tom had a wonderful sense of humor and always had a twinkle in his eye. He was a caring, considerate and compassionate person. He took time to learn and remember the names of the many people he met along his way through life.
Tom took over the family printing business in 1958 and operated it until he passed it to his son Tim in 2002. He was a true craftsmen, serving as president of the local chapter of the International Printhouse Craftsmen Club.
Tom was an active member of his church and belonged to the Serra Club. He supported his alma maters St. Therese School and San Joaquin Memorial, was recipient of the Golden Shamrock Award, and was active in many charities.
Tom enjoyed golf and tennis, and vacationing with family and friends, especially in Santa Cruz and Cayucos. He was a licensed pilot who enjoyed flying locally as well as trips to the coast.
Tom is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Anne; children, Tim and his wife Vida, Amy Steele, Marci and her husband John Shelton, Patrick and his wife Stacey; seven grandchildren Andy and his wife Jessica, Megan, Jacqueline, Kevin, David, Ridge and Mimi; two great grandchildren Laura and Allison. He also leaves behind a sister Bernadette, many nieces and nephews as well as many loving and lifelong friends.
Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at 7:00 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Peter's Cemetery.
