Anita Duenes was born in Fresno, California on December 25, 1941. She passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2026 surrounded by family. She grew up in Tranquillity, California where she lived her entire life. She worked in the cafeteria at Tranquillity High School for over 40 years. She was a devoted daughter, sister, and aunt as well as a life-long member of the St. Paul Catholic Church congregation. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lupe and Joe, and her brothers, Joe and Daniel. She is survived by her brother, Manuel, and her nieces and nephews, John, Tony, Angie, Sara, Monica, and Alicia. She was also the loving aunt to many great-nieces and nephews. A recitation of the Holy Rosary and a Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Paul Catholic Church on Monday, August 24th at 9:30am. Inurnment will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Fresno, California.
