

Anita Williams was born March 18, 1951, to Andrew Williams Sr. and Idell McGee. She was the 2nd of 5 children. Her parents, her older brother Andrew Williams Jr., her brother in-law Marvin Johnson and her nephew Randy Williams Jr. preceded her in death.
Anita graduated from Edison High School in 1969. She attended Fresno City College until she and Annette enlisted in the Army together. She served in the military from 1971 to 1973, receiving an honorable discharge.
After the military, most of Anita's life was spent in southern California, specifically Long Beach, California where she attended Moler Barbering College and earning a Barber License. Other career interests included Administrative/Office work, bartending and respiratory therapy.
Anita was a devoted member of her church. She was a woman of faith, and was baptized in Jesus' name, becoming saved. She began her church membership with Bishop Bruce Riley at Praised Temple Apostolic Church in Long Beach, California, and later at Peace Apostolic Church in Carson, California until Bishop Howard A. Swanson passed in January of 2021. She never married or had children. She is survived by her two sisters; Annette Griffin of Fresno, California, and Olinda Johnson of Des Moines, Washington and her brother, Randy Williams of Fresno, California. She is also survived by her nieces Eya Dean, Stacy Jackson, her nephews Paul Williams, Kerry Johnson, and Lavelle Williams, as well as 2 grandnieces, 2 grandnephews and a host of relatives and friends.
