Ann Hollins Sadler

Ann Hollins Sadler passed away peacefully on November 10, 2023. She was just shy of her 94th birthday. Ann was born to Samuel F. Hollins and Alice E. Hollins on November 18, 1929, in Fresno, California. Ann was a remarkable woman and lived a rich and full life.

Ann graduated from Roosevelt High School in Fresno. Afterwards, she attended the University of California, Berkeley, where she majored in organic chemistry. Her research was published beginning when she was an undergraduate. Although Ann was a serious student, she had lots of fun in the Delta Gamma sorority.

After college, Ann worked as a chemist for a pharmaceutical company in Los Angeles. She later moved back to Fresno and got a teaching credential in mathematics at Fresno State College. She taught math in Fresno schools and tutored young people in both math and chemistry. She then married her soulmate, Terry 0. Sadler, and together they started Sadler Office Supply. They ran a successful business serving many professionals in the San Joaquin Valley.

Ann enjoyed gardening, bridge, and going to Huntington Lake. She volunteered for many charities. She traveled all over the world and made friends everywhere she went. Ann had countless friends and her blended family brought her great joy.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Alice Hollins, her sister, Irma Franson, and her husband, Terry Sadler. Ann is survived by her children, Bill and Holly Zamzow, her grandson, David Artzerounian, Jr., and his wife, Yessica, her granddaughter, Jacqueline Zamzow, and her great granddaughter, Emilia Artzerounian. Ann leaves her beloved step-children and grandchildren, Susan Walker, Marcie Lowe, Steve Sadler, Laurie Sadler, Hailey Sadler, and Allison Bowling. Also surviving are Ann's cherished nieces and nephews, Vickie Hagbom, Don Franson, Jr., Steve Franson, Tom Franson, and Susan Edwards.

Memorial arrangements are being made at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns, and Blair Funeral Home. Plans will be forthcoming.
