

Anna "Ann" Insinga passed away peacefully on April 18, 2017 in Fresno, at the age of 93. Ann was born on May 3, 1923 in New York City and was the last survivor of the ten children of Gasper and Peitrina Ciuffo, Sicilian immigrants.
Ann married her husband of 56 years Carl in 1946 after his service in WWII and resided in Brooklyn, N.Y. In 1960 they moved to Fresno, with their four children. Ann was employed and retired from West Coast Interiors after 25 years of service and enjoyed homemaking activities, including crocheting, needlework and making draperies. She was prized for her great lasagna and Italian pastries.
The family thanks Bright Horizon Hospice for their warm and professional services and to caregivers Berta and Janie.
Ann was preceded in death by her husband Carl; her parents; six brothers; and three sisters.
She is survived by her daughter, Jo Hatcher and her husband Floyd; son, Frank Insinga; daughter, Patricia Insinga Smith; son, Charles Insinga and wife Lanna; sister-in-law Pat Creede, four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns and Blair Funeral Home. Sunday, April 23, 2017, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
A Funeral Service will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns and Blair Funeral Home on Monday, April 24, 2017 at 10:00 am. Interment to follow at St. Peter's Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to Bright Horizon Hospice.
