In the quiet of the night, as the stars watched over, Anna Mae Johnston, born on November 5, 1928, slipped away on February 1, 2025, at the age of 96, leaving behind a world forever changed by her love. A devoted, hard-working, and kind-hearted individual, Anna lived a life that was truly remarkable.
Anna grew up in Woodlake, California. She graduated from 4C's Business School and went on to pursue a career as a bookkeeper and housewife. With a strong work ethic, she instilled in her children the importance of family values and hard work.
She and her husband were avid golfers and held membership at Sunnyside Country Club. One of her greatest joys was spending time at their cabin at Huntington Lake. Anna would often describe being at her cabin as her perfect day. Alongside her love for the serenity of the lake, she also had an enduring passion for country music.
Anna cherished her role as a mother, raising three children with unwavering loyalty and devotion. Her family was always the center of her world, and she treasured each moment spent with them. Her legacy lives on through all who knew her, now carried forward by her son Jim (Kevyn), daughters Carla Anderson (Dennis), and Karen Mimms. Anna's legacy is further blessed by six grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Sr., and son-in-law Mark Mimms.
The passing of Anna M Johnston is a deep loss felt by many but also a time to reflect on the joy and wisdom she shared throughout her lifetime. Her genuine kindness and commitment to her loved ones leave an indelible mark on this world.
