Antonio "Tony" Martinez

Tony was born on August 8, 1931, in Clarksburg, CA to Abundio and Conception (Connie) Martinez. Tony went to school in Fowler, CA and then enlisted in the United States Airforce. He married Angelina Rodriguez on December 28, 1952, in Fowler, CA at St. Lucy’s Catholic Church.

Tony worked for the Fowler Unified School District for over 40 years. Tony was one of the original parishioners to help build the current St. Lucy’s Church in Fowler, CA in the 1960’s. He was a devout catholic and continued to serve the church in many capacities. He was always supportive and loving to his family and friends. His interests included family outings, traveling to the East Coast, maintaining his yard, playing the guitar and harmonica, listening to music, watching sporting events and reading/praying his daily prayers. He devoted much of his time and energy as a caregiver to his immediate family members.

Tony is survived by his wife, Angelina, his children Tony, Mary (Liz), Cathy, Gino and Ross and their life companions, Estela, Alex and Lisa; 11 grandchildren Issac, Lisa and her husband (Alex), Jennifer and her husband (Bernardo), Daniel and his wife (Anna), Patrick, Sydnee, Rossi, Ryan, Tisa and her husband (David), Brandy and her husband (Rick), Alex (Jammer), and 18 great-grandchildren Sebastian, Nolan, Zack, Ethan, Chris, George, MiRick,, Harrison, Samantha, Amy, Vincent, Vanessa, Nathan, Giovanni, Ava, Mia, Ellie, Chloe, and his brothers and sisters, Henry, Daniel, Manual, Raymond, Richard, Albert, Sally, Gracie, Mary & Irene.
