Barbara was born on October 25, 1928, in Rochdale, England, to William and Frances Mills, and passed in to the arms of our Lord Saturday, February 28, 2015, surrounded by family at the age of 86, of natural causes in Fresno, California where she lived since 1930. She and her husband Gil were married for 65 years.
She was a teacher for 36 years with the Fresno Unified School District. Her passions were music, whether it was at the school, or church choir; knitting; and a historian of English Pottery.
She is survived by her husband Gil; son John; daughter Barbara; son-in-law Jess; grandsons, Robert and Joseph; brother, Paul and his wife Joyce; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church on Saturday, March 14, 2015, at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church Senior Choir, 3973 N. Cedar, Fresno, CA 93726.
