Barry Yasuo Kondo

He was a student in Sanger schools and graduated from Fresno State University in 1962. He was a supervising appraiser for the Fresno County Assessor's Office, where he worked for 37 years.

In 1966, Barry married Karen Kamikawa. The couple would have celebrated 50 years of marriage in July 2016. Barry was also an active member of the Fresno Buddhist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Kazuyo Kondo, and his sister-in-law, Riena Kondo.

Barry is survived by his wife, Karen, son Grant Kondo and wife Jade, granddaughter, Olivia Kondo, two brothers Victor Kondo, Harvey Kondo and his wife Julie, a sister, Jane Okada and husband Danny and a nephew Scott Okada and wife Myrna.

The family thanks oncologist Dr. Sachin Gupta and staff, Saint Agnes Medical Center and the Clovis Community Hospital for their excellent care and compassion.

A memorial service will be held at Fresno Betsuin Family Dharma Center on March 5, 2016 at 2:00 pm located on 2690 E. Alluvial Ave., in Fresno.
