If you knew my father, I can guarantee you had a laugh or two or more with him. He enjoyed life, and didn't like to be too serious of a person. I had a really really good childhood because of my parents and I can't thank them enough. I'm deeply sad that he is gone, but for some reason I have this new found emotional strength in me, and I know it's him now living through me.

My dad passed away at the age of 69, slowly I started to see him age, and appear emotionally and physically tired. I know he is at peace and feels emotionally and physically strong again. I see him in my boys, Brandon and Bradley, and I hear his voice so clearly.

Dad, please watch over us, protect us and give more comfort to mom cuz she needs it. I'll check in with you daily, see you in my dreams, and thank you for everything you have done for me.

Thank you to my husband for helping me through the toughest situation in my life, for keeping our household light hearted, yet keeping my father's memories fresh with quotes of his silly comments. You have kept me on my feet when all I wanted to do is cry at my knees.

Thank you to everyone who came yesterday and today. For taking the time to say bye to my father, coming from out of town or even taking the time off work, it has really meant a lot to us, so thank you.

Last, this is a celebration of his eternal life with God, for me not to be selfish, and show sorrow because he is not physically here for me in human form but will always be with me in his own way. I'm looking forward to the adventures that God and my Dad have in store for me and the Boys.

Isaiah Chapter 60 Verse 20
Your sun will no longer go down, nor will your moon disappear. The Lord will be your everlasting light, and your days of sadness will be over.
