Bertha Abundis was born in Fowler, CA, on July 20, 1959, and passed away on Sunday, October 4, 2015. She is remembered as a woman of faith and a heart of gold. She enjoyed her 35 year career working with Fresno County Social Services.
Bertha was preceded in death by her daughter, Stephanie Perez; and her mother, Nicolasa Hernandez.
She is survived by her father, Jesus Hernandez; her husband, Daniel Abundis; her children, Anita Perez, and Ted Perez; step-children, Sam and Jessica; eleven grandchildren, Sabrina, Samantha, Gilbert, Any- ssa, Jesse, Aliyah, Nathan, Nevaeh, Amya, Sebastian and Airianna; five brothers, Joe, Jesse, Ed- ward, Tony and Louie; sister Mary; and family and friends.
Visitation will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home on Monday, October 12, 2015, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. followed by a Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John's Cathedral on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Peter's Cemetery.
