Betty Jean Wood

Visitation will be at Stephens and Bean Funeral Chapel 202 N. Teilman Ave. Fresno, Ca. from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm Sunday July 14th.

A graveside memorial service will be at Fresno Memorial Gardens, 175 Cornelia Ave. on Monday July 15th at 11:00 am with the Rev. Kevin Smith officiating.

Betty was born in Clovis California to Samuel and Nellie McDonald on August 22, 1927. She was married to Arthur J. Williams Jr. July 19, 1947 - Sept. 26, 1980. She then was married to Nooner C. Wood, May 21,1988 - April 24, 1998. She then moved to Kerman Garden Apts where she live for many years until health issues forced her to move to Twin Falls, Idaho with her son and family in 2011. She left behind many friends at the Kerman Senior Center which she missed very much. She was a fun loving gal with a loud contagious laugh and she loved to play bingo and dance.

Betty is proceeded in death by her parents, Samuel and Nellie McDonald, one brother Raymond McDonald, and son Michael R. Williams.

She is survived by her sister Bernice Carter, of Scotts Valley, California, a son Leonard (Pat) Williams, two grandsons Leonard Jr (Kelly) Williams and Frank Williams, two Granddaughters Laura (Rick) Wiltse, and Christine (Darrell) Gorham, nine great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Much heartfelt thanks go to Curry Retirement Center Assisted Living in Twin Falls, Idaho for their loving and patient care of our mother and grandmother. Also to, A Promise of Hope, Inc. Hospice that seen her through her final days of comfort and care.
