Beverly's family moved from Eureka to Madera, CA, when she was a child and then to Fresno, where she attended Roosevelt High School and Fresno State College. While at Fresno State, she was a member of Delta Gamma Sorority, and she met her future husband, Wally Kennedy. Beve and Wally married in 1950, had five children, and were together for more than 41 years before Wally passed away in 1991.
Beverly was a loving wife, a very devoted mother and grandmother, a warm and welcoming aunt, a dedicated sister and a lifelong friend to many. She had a fun loving spirit, a quick wit, an interest in and compassion for others, and a beautiful, memorable smile. She enjoyed the cabin she and Wally built at Huntington Lake as her favorite family getaway, and she loved to spend hours toiling in her rose garden. When we think of her, we always think of roses.
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents; her brother Warren; her husband Wally; her son Kim; and her daughter Joan.
She is survived by her sister, Joan Stoetzl; her children, Matthew, Kristi, and Ann; her grandchildren, Thea, Jennifir, George, Dakota, and Sophia; and great-grandchild Frank.
Beverly's Memorial Mass will be celebrated at the Shrine of St. Therese Catholic Church in Fresno, CA, on Thursday, May 25, 2017, at 10:30 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the American Cancer Society; or the Ronald McDonald House, Madera, CA.
