Bonifacio Tayao Garcia, affectionately known to his friends as Bon, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully at the age of 78 on June 18, 2025. Born on June 5, 1947, Bon was the very definition of hard work, dedication, and pride.
His kindness, generosity, unwavering love, and perseverance for his family will forever resonate in the hearts of all who knew him. He truly believed in building not just physical structures, but also strong relationships and lasting memories that would stand the test of time.
Bon was a devoted husband to his late beloved wife, Shiony. He was also a loving father to all his precious children and their significant others - his daughter, Bernadette and John, and his three sons, Bernard & Jing, Bon Jr. and Althea, and Bryan and Angelica. He was a doting grandfather to nine cherished grandchildren: Bella, Lauren, Christian, Kyle, Sylvia, Allyssa, Jesica, JR, and Ben—and even extended his affection to the family pets: Pogi, Popeye, and Brutus.
