He spent the afternoon shopping with his family; buying his grandkids toys and chocolates. He told his grandkids Marissa and William “You can have one chocolate and then another and then another.” He then called up his brother and said “What are we doing bro?” They spent that evening drinking tea at Starbucks, as they often did. Always thinking of others, he had his drink refilled, drove home, and offered it to his wife Cristina and son Joshua, with whom he shared one last peaceful night.
He loved his family more than anything and he saw his sister Muranda, brother Brian, and dad Murray multiple times a week. Brad’s favorite things to do were going out to eat and going on cruises with the people he loved. His love and dedication to his family extended to his work family as well. Brad loved his post office family. He worked his way up from an entry level mail carrier all the way to Post Master of Dos Palos. He was very proud of his accomplishments and truly loved everyone that joined him on his journey.
We know Brad would love that his memorial service is across the street from one of his former post offices. An office that was full of so many joyous silly Brad memories. Brad would also have appreciated the day we chose to celebrate his life. April 1, 2024. Everyone that knew Brad knew what a comedian he was. He was the type of guy that would plan a fake funeral for himself and jump out of the coffin as a big joke. Sadly today that is not the case. Brad’s sense of humor and contagious smile will be missed by everyone forever.
Every time anyone saw Brad he had the biggest smile on his face. Anytime anyone asked him to do something like go eat or drink coffee his eyes and mouth would get wide and he would always nod his head yes and say an enthusiastic “Yea!” Brad was always ready for an adventure. Now he has gone to join his beautiful mother Shirlene in their journey together to bless us with love and happiness from above.
