A much beloved husband, father, and "Buelito", Carlos R. Navarrette, passed away peacefully at home in Fresno, California on March 29, 2019 at the age of 99. He was born on November 4, 1919 in Fresno, California.

On June 28, 1943, he married the love of his life, Margaret Ava Navarrette. They were married for 76 years.

He was a proud WWII veteran who served in the U.S. Army and an avid sportsman.

Carlos' proudest accomplishment was to instill the importance of education to his children. He would always say, "Education is something that no one can ever take away from you."

He is survived by his wife Margaret and four children and their spouses: Carlos Navarrette and wife Frances, David Navarrette and wife Delores, Margaret Navarrette, John Navarrette and wife Margarita, 6 grandchildren, a sister, Lucy Galvez of Roseville, California and a brother, Henry Navarrette of Oakland, California.

A heartfelt thanks to Ferdinand Del Mundo for the wonderful care he provided and friendship he shared with Carlos and family. We would like to thank Amanda and Bender from Optimal Hospice and Nally Vue, each for their care and constant concern for the welfare of our father.

Dearest Brother Carlos,
You finally made it to Heaven. Now you are with Mom, Dad, our brother John Jr., and our sisters, Delores, Soledad and Beatrice. When the Lord calls me and our sister Lucy home, we will all be together once more. May God bless you my dear brother.
Your loving and devoted Brother,

So many memories that I can go on forever. You are already missed, your love, humor, guidance and values are permanently stamped in my heart and in my life. You were my first best friend and the perfect example of what a grandfather should be. Until I see you again
